Nieuw jurk
Nieuw Jurk is the label of Esther Meijer, graduated in 2004 from ArtEZ in Arnhem with Going Ape in Nieuw Jurk.
Her latest collection Kubus was presented with a multi-disciplinary event at Mediamatic in Amsterdam, a mix of fashion, art, music and dance. In her work she plays with body aesthetics and social issues and provides a unique perspective on shapes, proportions and sizes. Meijers designs are unisex, have a geometric coupe and a humorous feel and are characteristic for innovative solutions.
Krisis, a collection for both men and women, is the result of a crowdfunding project inspired by the financial crisis. The collection items are multi-wearable and nearly all unisex. Krisis is a collaboration of Nieuw Jurk and Sander de Graaf.
